The course entails several short hills yet overall is considered flat and fast. The DeKalb Corn Classic 10 km is a CARA Certified Race and proud to remain on the racing circuits of the Starved Rock Runners, Ltd. (SRRL), the Fox River Trail Runners (FRTR), and the Northern Illinois Trail Runners Organization (NITRO) running clubs.

Additional information: The course will start on wide city streets before turning onto a wooded path near the Oak Brook Polo Grounds, and through the McDonalds Corporate Campus. It then crosses into Oak Brook's beautiful Central Park, via the asphalt-surfaced Oak Brook Bike/Running Path System. After a winding tour of the Village, the course turns south at Spring Road, and connects with the soft crushed limestone trails through Fullersburg Woods. The final three miles of the course include the Bike/Running Path around the Oak Brook Golf Club before finishing in Central Park.

Additional information: The course is a 3.25 mile loop done 8 times. We will have 13 pace teams (target finish times: 3:01, 3:06, 3:11, 3:21, 3:26, 3:31, 3:36, 3:41, 3:51, 3:56, 4:06, 4:21, 4:30). Our team tent will be setup at the start/finish/race compund so we have the option of pacing a couple/few loops then pass the pacing bib to another team pacer. Pacers can do 1, 2, 3, 4 loops...whatever you choose.
